LOcation

find out where to go for cadet activities
NOTE:  17 Wing Winnipeg is an active military base.  DO NOT visit us without first contacting the staff.  Failure to arrange your visit in advance will result in you being turned away at the gate.  You must contact us at least one week in advance of your visit to ensure adequate time to add you to the Wing access list.

Building 135

Access to 17 Wing must be made through the main gate off Whytewold/Wihuri Road.  Drivers must present a valid student or government issued ID to gain entry.  State the cadet's name and make it clear to security that you are going to Building 135 for cadets. 17 Wing personnel have the right to request ID, search vehicles, and deny access to 17 Wing if they feel it is necessary for security.

A list of cadets, parents/guardians and guests is kept at the gate for the commissionaires to use as a reference. If someone other than the parent or guardian will be transporting a cadet, you must notify our Admin at least 7 business days prior to the activity to ensure they are on the list.

If you have any difficulties gaining access, DO NOT ARGUE WITH THE COMMISSIONAIRES OR MILITARY POLICE. Exit the Wing, park across the street and contact the level officer for assistance.

17-395 Berry St (by appointment)

Due to ongoing renovations at Building 21, the Squadron Sponsoring Committee has leased office space at 395 Berry St to support the Administration, Supply, and Sponsoring Committee functions.  We are located on the second floor in Unit 17.

The space will be used to process paperwork for new and returning cadets, uniform fittings, and sponsor business.

Access to our 395 Berry St office is available by appointment only.  Contact Administration or Supply to schedule a visit.

Building 21

Building 21 is closed for renovations until 2021

Refrain from parking and waiting for cadets in the fire lane on the east side of the building. The military police will ticket those who park there.  Do not use the spot in the southwest corner of the lot reserved for the 17 Wing Commander.
